Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel and Perform CPR

The Perform rescue from a Live LV panel (UETTDRRF06B) component of this training will enable participants to carry out a risk assessment of electrically hazardous situations and perform rescue procedures without hazard to themselves or others should someone come in contact with LV live electrical conductors, panels and equipment.

NRT - Nationally Recognised Training LogoThe Provide CPR (HLTAID001) component is a Nationally Recognised Qualification. The training is designed to teach Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Guidelines and assess that the attendee has sufficient confidence to know when and how CPR should be applied. Provide CPR (HLTAID001) should be undertaken annually for re-certification in line with the First Aid Code of Conduct and Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines. Furthermore industry or employer requirements may stipulate re-certification time frames.

Course Assessment

Assessment consists of both theory and practical assessments including:

  • eBook – to be completed online prior to attending course
  • Scenario 1 – Inspection and placement of rescue equipment activity
  • Scenario 2 – LV Panel Rescue activity
  • Scenario 3 – Call Ambulance, Adult CPR, AED and Verbal Handover activity
  • Scenario 4 – Provide CPR on an child and infant activity
  • Written Exam – Short answer questions

Prerequisite

Each participant MUST complete the pre-course Knowledge Quiz by either doing the online eBook or a hard copy CPR workbook version which can be collected from IOH.

Conditions

  • Participants MUST bring the completed hard cpoy workbook or the printed online eBook Assessment Section along to the practical training day.
  • Participants MUST provide a USI number to the trainer on the day of training. Failure to provide this will mean that certification on completion of the course cannot be issued
  • Current Driver’s Licence or Photo ID required for all participants as Evidence of Identity
  • If you are re-certifying, you must bring evidence of your previous Certification such as your wallet size card or original certificate. This must be presented to your trainer on the day. For re-certification, your qualification cannot be expired. Proof of currency is always required to be submitted (allowance for ‘just expired’ may be made depending on the trainer).

Training is delivered face to face including both theory and practical components. Practical application of skills is strongly emphasised and assessed.

Duration of 5 hours includes 30 minute lunch break. Bookings of large numbers of participants will extend course duration.

Successful participants will be awarded the following National Units of Competency:

  • Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel (UETTDRRF06B)
  • Provide CPR (HLTAID001)

Participants will receive a Statement of Attainment and a wallet-sized card. Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel (UETTDRRF06B) and Provide CPR (HLTAID001) training in NSW is re-certified every 12 months.

USI

From 1st January 2015, when enrolling in a Nationally Recognised course you will need to obtain and provide your Unique Student Identifier (USI) Number. Certificates cannot be issued until the USI number has been provided.
