Confined Spaces (Enter and Work In) 1 Day

The Enter and Work in Confined Spaces 1 Day Course RIIWHS202D & MSAPMPER205C is designed for Basic Confined Space Entry into simple structures. Whilst the course covers atmospheric monitoring as per WHS requirements, please note the formal Gas Testing and Observe Work Permit Qualifications are not able to be awarded in the one day option, although some information from these units is covered.

Depending on your work and industry requirements, this option may or may not be sufficient. Where formal atmospheric monitoring qualifications are required by the industry participants will need to complete the two day Enter and Work in Confined Spaces course.

This course awards participants with an industry specific, Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment in Enter and Work in Confined Spaces RIIWHS202D & MSAPMPER205C. The course is aligned with the Work Health and Safety Legislation, the National Codes of Practice and relevant Australian Standards.

Conditions

A reasonable level of fitness is required to participate in this training. All participants are required to wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt and sturdy footwear.

In case of wet weather, please bring wet weather clothing.

Current driver’s licence or photo ID is required.

Prerequisites

There is a requirement that participants have a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy skills, enabling them to read and write work permits and calculate time differences, solving simple mathematical problems and calculation of area.

USI

From 1st January 2015, when enrolling in a Nationally Recognised course you will need to obtain and provide your Unique Student Identifier (USI) Number. Certificates cannot be issued until the USI number has been provided.

Course fee includes course materials and refreshments only. Free parking is available.

Training is delivered face to face including both theory and practical components, with a strong emphasis on the practical application of skills.Training may be run at your own workplace and can be specifically tailored to the industry and, if required, orientated to the specific job requirements of the participants.
